FRANDLaw is led by Dr. iur. Maryam Pourrahim, LLM — an attorney and researcher specializing in intellectual property, licensing, and competition law with deep expertise in Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) and FRAND licensing.
Maryam holds a joint PhD from Tilburg University and the University of Fribourg (2019–2024). Her work focuses on access to SEPs, FRAND royalty determination, patent pools, and dispute resolution in IoT value chains. She combines hands-on contract execution and IP strategy with academic and policy work (EU HS Booster, PwC, Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, University of Neuchâtel, UNITAR, Vale International).
